I don’t even know why I am crying?!

… are the words that came out of my almost 4 year old! What? Really? She hasn’t even hit her teens and she is already very emotional! Dear, Lord! Help this momma out!!

Here is the story… we arrive home from my mom’s house, I unbuckle Oceana and carry her in my arms since she was sleeping. At that moment Ray also arrives home so he helps me get Madison out of the car. Raychel unbuckles herself and gets herself out of the car, as usual. I went on into the house to put Oceana down, then Raychel comes storming in crying her little eyes out. Ray then comes in and I ask Ray, “Why is Raychel crying?” he says, “I have no Idea?” Raychel is in our room bawling. Ray and I ask, ” Raychel why are you crying?” she says, “I don’t even know why I am crying?” What? No. she did not just say that?!! were the thoughts going through my head. Ray then says, “Raychel, if you are going to be crying for no reason, please go to your room and cry there.” Raychel takes off running to her room and closes the door and cries in her room. Ray and I just let her cry it out. I start the girls bath and then Ray and I go into Raychel’s room and she kinda stops crying, I then say, “Raychel your baths ready!” she gets all excited and kinda giggles and gives me a big hug, and hops right into the bath. The End!

Oh, Lord! They haven’t even hit their teens and they’re already acting like this! All I know is that Ray and I will be doing A LOT of praying, because we sure are going to need the big mans help!

On a different note… Elizabeth {my sister}is blogging!!! She is new to the bloggie world, so please send her some love and check her bloggie out!! The Journey, Elizabeth and Hugo. her and her husband are seriously the cutest, goofiest, spontaneous couple you will ever meet!

I Pulled the Trigger

On November 26th, early afternoon, I pulled the trigger.

My heart was racing like a million galloping horses, my hands were shaking and I was starting to get very nervous, but I knew I had to do it.

I walk into the room where the Springfield XD45 gun was, and fully loaded. I reach out my hands to grab the gun, and my hands start shaking, my heart starts pounding and all I can hear around me was gun shots everywhere.

At that point, there was no turning back. I had to cock the gun, aim and fire. I shot the first shot and my adrenalin started pumping. 10 shots later I realized I had hit my target, and was relieved.

I look back to see Ray and he is giving me the thumbs up. I then step out of the gun range to let ray have his shot at it, again. That my friends, was my first time at a gun range, shooting a gun-haha!

It feels so strange posting a picture of a gun on this sweet blog! So. not. me. Anyhow, it was exciting and nerve recking shooting a gun for the first time.

The beginning of Thanksgiving

By the President of the United States of America.

A Proclamation.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theatre of military conflict; while that theatre has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union. Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defence, have not arrested the plough, the shuttle or the ship; the axe has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased, notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege and the battle-field; and the country, rejoicing in the consiousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American People. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States to be affixed.

Done at the City of Washington, this Third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the Unites States the Eighty-eighth.

By the President: Abraham Lincoln

William H. Seward,

Secretary of State

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!

Raychel’s pre-school had a thanksgiving feast! Each parent signed up to bring a dish of whatever they signed up for and all the parents and kids enjoy a nice little meal.

Ray was able to take some time off work and come with us to Raychel school. Ray helped Raychel with a little craft the teachers had put out. They made a cute turkey. Raychel loved having her daddy at school with her, and helping her make the turkey.

Birthdays, Birthdays and more Birthdays

Last Saturday, we went to Andruw’s 5th birthday! It was so cool!! It was an indoor sports center and we played Andruw’s favorite sport, baseball! Andruw’s favorite team is the SF Giants. He is so good at playing baseball that it would not surprise me if he became pro one day, actually, am sure he will!! The girls had fun for the first half hour, then they were just being girly and wanting to play something else. Sorry… girls, no princesses here- haha! They were good sports though. Same as the hubs… he was actually not feeling to good, but he knew how much I wanted all of us to be at sweet Andruw’s birthday.

The decor was all SF Giants! Christine (Andruw’s mommy) did such a good job with all the party details. She is such a good mom!

Happy 5th Birthday Andruw! <333
