Olga + San Diego = LOVE

Our trip to San Diego was lovely!

We got up super early and headed out to beautiful San Diego!

Raychel reading her Nemo book like always!

Little Oceana sleeping away.

The mountains on the Grapevine road were beautifully filled with snow.

We finally arrived at the Hyatt in sunny San Diego!

Our view outside from our room was beautiful, specially at night *

Once we got to the room we put on our PJ’s and relaxed before bed time.

We woke up, and had some yummy breakfast there at the Hyatt!

After breakfast the girls and I headed back to our room while Ray went to his first day of his seminar.

Oceana was having so much fun playing in the crib (that the Hyatt provided)!

Once Ray got out of his seminar we went to little Italy to eat at Filippi’s Restaurante. Their food was very delicious!

While Ray was in his seminar from 9-5, the girls and I went to go visit MELISSA! It was so nice to spend that time with her, she is amazing!

Raychel was sure having a good time, because lately she doesnt want her picture taken, but look at her in this picture!

Little OC with her sunglasses on!

Then we headed back to the Hyatt to meet Ray for dinner. We ate at Rokin’ Baja. The food was alright.

The girls and I went for a nice walk, and after we met up with Valet and walked around the little shops behind the Hyatt. Valet also accompanies her hubby to these Mike Ferry seminars. We meet last year in Vegas. (another location Mike Ferry holds his seminars)

Valet and Raychel hanging out outside one of the little shops. Valet is so sweet, she has two little boys, and I cannot wait to meet them in Vegas this year!!

They had a carousel in the middle of all the shops, so of course Raychel got on it! she loved it! Raychel kept saying horsey, horsey.

After walking around all the shops we met up with Ray and went out to dinner at TGI fridays 😉

Then we headed back to our room and relaxed and watched American Idol!

Ps. The book that Ray is reading in this picture was such a great book, we both read it and finished it in like 3 days! It’s a true story of a once homeless kid (his name is Robert) addicted to drugs, turned sober, self made millionaire by the age of 30. I met Robert while we were going to breakfast! Ray had already met him in the seminar and bought his book. It made the book even more exciting to read, because i actually met him and could put a face to his story!

Raychel is learning how to take pictures…she took this one of her sister, daddy and mommy lol!

We met up with Melissa for lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory! The food was delicious!

Later that night like every night we went out to dinner with Ray. This time we went to a restaurant that one of Ray’s friends owns. “Kebab Shop”

After dinner we headed back to watch American Idol (since it comes on twice a week). This was our last night in SD.

We woke up, had breakfast, packed and headed out!

After about a 7 hour drive we finally got home safe, Thanks to our heavenly Father, we unpacked, showered, gave the girls a warm bath and just relaxed until it was time for bed.

Home Sweet Home

Bath Time!

Today I thought… I would give it a try and put Oceana in the big bath tub with her sister!

…And little Oc LOVED it! She kept making herself laugh by splashing the water! she had a great little bath time with her sister!

Raychel loved having Oceana in there with her too! so, from now on they will be taking baths together!

Here she is splashing away!!

Marquez Family Updates

Yes, Ray is still doing Real Estate, and he is doing GREAT! In 2009 he closed 23 transactions! He is one of the top agents in the Bay Area. Ray is such a hard worker, he puts his heart into his work. Ray is not just doing this to provide for our family, but to help people buy and sell homes. He helps people who are in-distressed homes (Short Sales)too. Ray’s goal this year is to close 50 transactions, and get his Brokers license! He is such a hard, dedicated worker that I have no doubt he can accomplish those goals and more!

We will be heading to San Diego next weekend for the MFO (Mike Ferry Organization) seminar. I really enjoy these seminars, because we make little vacations out of them. I love San Diego, it is gorgeous down there! Hopefully we will get to see their Grandpa Ron and my bf Melissa! We are also going to Vegas again this year for another MFO seminar! Woohoo that means hanging out by the pool for the girls and I, and maybe some amazing shows after rays done with his seminar! Ray amazes me on how hard he works for us, he is such a driven man! I thank God for giving him the strength, determination and the drive to do what he does! So, that’s a little something of what is going on with Ray.

Oh yeah…I almost forgot to mention that… Yes Ray still wakes up at 4:15am every morning to go work-out at the gym! Talk about motivation, he’s got it!!

-Proverbs 13:11-12
Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase. NKJ

I am no longer working at the Spa on Fridays, so I am a full time stay at home mommy. I enjoy being able to stay home with my girls, and taking those weekly trips to the mall with my sister! lol. I love that I get to watch my girls grow up and seeing them hit their milestones.

Every now and then I like to cook something new for us to try for dinner… poor Ray even when it tastes nasty he still eats it and says “good job hon” lol. It’s nice to try new foods, because most of the time they taste yummy, and it’s fun making something new. We all eat dinner together every night and I want it to always stay that way!

This year I would like to read about 12 new books, and my bible on a daily basis. (which can be hard with 2 girls + cleaning + dinner + laundry, BUT it can be done!) I also want to step up my spiritual level, and get to know God more then I ever thought I could! 3 days out of the week I am waking up earlier then my girls, so I can have prayer time and reading time. I want to fall in Love with God, that it’s not just another duty or one more thing I have to cross off my list. I want to be excited or to look forward to waking up and meeting Jesus at his feet. A relationship with God. I want to hear His voice, and know his plan he has for me and my family. I would love, love to meet more young married families my age who we can share the love of God together and just have nice fellowship together, and to encourage each other.

Another thing I really need to do this year is potty train Raychel! Brittany, I am going to try what you tried on Aidan, sitting her in the toilet right when she wakes up in the mornings and after naps, and really praising her when she does go pee pee or poo poo or both at the same time lol then she gets double praises lol j/k. Thanks for the tip Brittany!

sooooooooo, news on baby number 3. We are hoping to be pregnant with baby #3 by the end of June or the beginning of July! We want to keep our kids close and be done, so our family can be complete and mommy can get back into shape! OK, that’s enough about me, now lets move on to the girls!

-Philippians 3:13-15
“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” NKJ

Goodness, where do I start with this one?! I guess with her favorite book! She loves Nemo! She wants us to read it to her all the time. Over and over again! It’s funny, because we have the movie and I ask her “Raychel do you want mommy to put the Nemo movie on for you so you can see it on TV?” Raychel-“No mommy, Nemo book!” lol she cracks me up!!

Raychel still loves wearing dresses, she loves to dance, sing, and play over at Grandma and Grandpa’s house with the doggies. Raychel no longer likes her picture taken! ugh..its so hard to get her to take one!! Goodness!Raychel also enjoys playing ring-around-the roses with mommy. (not sure what that song really says lol) Lately though she has been a daddy’s girl! She loves hanging out with him. Every morning when she wakes up the first thing she says is “daddy?” and I tell her ” daddy is at the office at work.” Raychel – “okay”. It’s so sweet. Sometimes when Ray is running errand he will take her with him, and she get so happy and excited to go with him! it melts my heart!

Raychel loves her baby sister, she has been a great helper! If Oceana is crying she will run and tell me or if Oceana is just sitting there Raychel will hug her and tries to play ball with her, by rolling it to her. Raychel helps me change OC’s diaper and throws it away for me! There favorite movie right now for both is Veggietales “Saint Nicholas”, they both just sit there and watch it together.

Kids say the darn est things! Raychel will wake up and if she see me already ready she will say “Church?” It’s too cute! Also, when we are getting ready to sit down to eat, she will say “Pray” (in Spanish), so then we all put our hands together and pray and at the end we all say “Amen!”. Raychel is talking so much now, she says little sentences in Spanish and in English! its so darn cute! Don’t get me wrong she is not always and angel. She can throw these tantrums and oh my goodness it is NOT a pretty site to see!! ugh! sometimes she will throw one while we are at the grocery story, and man mommy sure stresses OUT! I have little OC too so it makes it so hard to control her when she throws one at the store! All in all Raychel is a sweet girl who just wants to play and be loved, just like any other 2 year old. 🙂

-Mark 10:14-16
“Let the little Children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

This little girl is such a doll! Oceana has two sides to her, she can be the best baby ever, but then she can get really mad! If Raychel comes near her and wants to hug her and Oceana doesn’t want to be bothered she will scream and tightens her fists! It’s hilarious! its sad for Raychel, because Raychel is just trying to be nice to her sister. They’re times when she doesn’t complain, like this one day when she was sitting on her bumbo, (while mommy did other things around the house)and I go to check on her and there she is hunched over, sleeping!! It broke my heart to see her sleeping in such an uncomfortable position. But that’s how sweet she can be that she doesn’t bother to fuss or cry for mommy to put her to sleep. She does that a lot.

Oceana loves her saws er! she jumps up and down in it, and makes all this noise. it’s too cute! she loves playing with anything that makes a sound or lights up! She also loves to watch her sister play…poor girl when she watches her play it seems like she wants to get up and play with her! Raychel is helping me teach OC how to wave and clap, since that is the next milestone she needs to know by 9 months. It looks like OC is going to get the waving down soon! I am super excited for OC to start crawling and chasing Raychel around.

Little OC has been eating solids since she turned 4 1/2 months. Her favorite is green beans! She eats all the different kind of meats, and all the veggies too. Oceana loves her Gerber cookies. I keep them in my purse, so when we go out to dinner.. I will let her have one, because if I don’t give her one she just looks at us eating our yummy food, and I want her to enjoy something yummy too! and she sure does enjoy it! Last week Oceana sat in the stroller with out her car seat!! It was nice having both of my girls sitting together in their stroller! Next time when we go out to dinner I will have to try sitting her in a high chair!

Nights are better again with Oceana, She is only waking up once to eat and sometimes she just sleeps the whole night away! For a while there I felt like a I had a newborn, she kept waking up every 2 hours! not fun! But thank God its better again! I am so thankful to have these two healthy beautiful girls…I wouldn’t change it for the world! At times they can stress me out, but its a part of life, a part of them growing up. I am truly blessed with a great husband and two beautiful healthy girls!!

-Jeremiah 1:5-6
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

God is the center of our family, may he always be first before anyone or anything. for everything is His!

A Holy Makeover

The purpose of Jesus’ death on the cross wasn’t to provide fire insurance or an all-expenses-paid trip to heaven. He died and rose again so we could be made new. So we wouldn’t have to stay in our trespasses and sins, tangled up by our emotions, hurts, and past disappointment. He did it so we could be “transformed into his likeness,” Paul says in 2 Corinthians 3:18. No longer must we hide behind a veil of shame. Instead, with “unveiled faces” we “reflect the Lord’s glory…with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord.” Don’t be conformed to this world, Paul tells us in Romans 12, but be transformed.

-Joanna Weaver

We don’t watch the news since there is really never any good news on the “news”, so we just heard about the Earthquake in Haiti. Our hearts go out to all the people who are suffering from the earthquake in Haiti, we will keep you in our prayers.

-“Outside a warehouse, hundreds of desperate Haitians simply dropped to their knees when workers for the agency “Food for the Poor” announced they would distribute rice, beans and other supplies. “They started praying right then and there,” said project director Clement Belizaire.”

Oceana Turns 7 Months Today!

Time sure flies on by! I can not believe my second baby girl is already 7 months!!! She is such a great little girl, she is such a mommy’s girl!

Tomorrow we are taking little OC for her 6 months check-up. I have no clue why I scheduled her appointment a month later, but oh well lol. She is already sitting on her own and she says “mama”, she holds things in one and and switches them to the other, so she is hitting her milestones right on time! HAPPY 7 MONTHS OCEANA!

Our 3 Year Wedding Anniversary Trip to Napa!

Where do i begin?!

…Ray was surprised with all the events I had set up for us to do in Napa.

We arrived at Napa at about 10am and checked in to the Marriott where we were staying. We hung out at the lobby until about 10:30am when the Platypus bus came to pick us up to take us to different wineries to go wine tasting at. It was so nice seeing all the different wineries and being able to taste their wine. We meet a lot of nice people who were on the bus with us! we meet a couple who were on their honeymoon, a lady who was celebrating her birthday and another couple with their friends who came all the way from NYC. We had a great group on our bus! here are some pictures of us arriving at the Marriott and the wine bus tour!

All the wineries are so beautiful, we had a great time tasting their wine and seeing all the beautiful views.
On Saturday we got up early and went to our spa day!! We got Bud bath!! It was different, but it was relaxing! After the mud baths we cleaned up and got hour massages. Once our spa day was over we headed back to the Hotel and got ready for our wine train dinner!!!! While the hubby and I were getting ready, we heard a knock at our door…and there it was…our Champange and chocolate covered strawberries!!! We had a nice time enjoying our strawberries and champange before heading out to the wine train dinner.

Here are some pictures!

All in all we had a wonderful time just being with each other!!! we missed the girls so much that we woke up early Sunday and rushed to go get them!!! so blessed, love my family!

Today is our 3 year wedding anniversary!

Thank you Lord, for another amazing year with my wonderful husband!

Napa bound tomorrow!!

Quote of the day:

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy blameless. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church- for we are members of his body. “for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh”.

-Ephesians 5:22-32
